Users can customize workflow with features and functions of their choice

Trumbull, CT., the United States, December 12, 2007 — Océ North America, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, has introduced the Océ im3512 and the Océ im4512. These all-in-one multifunctional products (MFPs) securely deliver high impact results, enabling users to effectively improve performance, no matter how large or small the job requirements might be. The professional grade output from these devices allows businesses to create the documents they rely on. A range of features on the Océ im3512 and the Océ im4512 enables users to customize the device to their workflow.

“With the ability to decide what features and functions suit their business, we can offer our customers a business solution that fits their individual needs,” said John Reilly, Vice President, Product & BPC Operations, Océ North America, Document Printing Systems. “Our best of breed strategy allows us to offer customers the best products available so they can be more productive with document workflow, allowing more time to drive their business forward.”

Productivity and efficiency will surge with these devices, which are easy to navigate and allow users to ensure they are equipped with the tools necessary for their unique document needs. With many features that ship standard - meaning the product ships with those features as standard equipment - and the ability to add those that users need, the possibilities are endless.

Power and impact

The Océ im3512 and Océ im4512 provide a powerful blend of features, which offer users high levels of both functionality and versatility. At output speeds of 35 ppm and 45 ppm, these devices deliver documents precisely when they are needed. A maximum paper capacity of 3,100 pages allows users to be productive without having to change paper mid-job. With advanced scanning features that allow users to convert hard copies into electronic files, then store and insert into other files, document workflows become simple tasks to handle. Optional finishers give users a choice of how to produce their final product - stapled, hole-punched or saddle stitched. The Océ im3512 and Océ im4512 can be counted on to monitor utilization with a remote usage counter that automatically emails usage to administrators.

Confidence

In today’s business environments, protecting information is of the utmost importance. With standard features like account codes, confidential print, secure document filing and options such as data encryption and overwrite, users’ documents are protected from unauthorized viewing. The Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption methods found on the Océ im3512 and the Océ im4512 ensure user data and passwords are secure, while port filtering blocks unwanted access from the network to the device. The security features on these devices give users sufficient confidence that unauthorized parties are not accessing their vital information.

Design and quality

Since every business has a unique workflow, the Océ im3512 and Océ im4512 have been designed to provide a large feature set in a small package that can be configured to meet specific user requirements.
