Océ announces first Océ JetStream placement in Asia

DocuXPert installs first Océ JetStream 1000 inkjet printer in Thailand

Venlo, The Netherlands, 24 October 2011 – Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced that DocuXPert is the first outsourcing company in Asia to start TransPromo with an Océ JetStream® 1000 inkjet continuous feed printing system.

Pacing the way to TransPromo in the Thai market

DocuXPert Corporation Co., Ltd. is one of Thailand’s leading companies in document outsourcing services with proven expertise in the field of transaction printing and direct marketing. Established in 2001, DocuXPert headquarters are located in the city center of Bangkok. In 2006, DocuXPert has expanded business to print-on-demand, including color and personalization. Aiming to be leader in document outsource service, DocuXPert has set their focus on customer communication management. The company has all required skills important to supply services and react rapidly to bulk mailing request for strategic document with tight deadline.

With Océ JetStream 1000, DocuXPert is another document outsource service bureaus to adopt high-speed color inkjet printing in order to set a new standard to the transaction printing market with its TransPromo and cross media communication concept.

Expert for finance and telco printing

Chanawat Sawaddichai, Managing Director, DocuXPert Corporation Co., Ltd.: “DocuXPert serves the finance and telco industries for printing invoices and statements and other collaterals. We provide full-service with digital printing equipment and internet based communication.”

DocuXPert customers in the financial industry are banks, insurance companies and mutual funds. For the telco industry, one of the biggest mobile phone company has been a DocuXPert customer for many years. Both industries communicate with their customers on a continuous basis for finance and legal purposes as well as marketing communication.

Less cost, sell more

All marketing service bureaus experienced the same stress from their customers cost reduction programs as their income from printing and mailing is a cost factor for their customers. Chanawat Sawaddichai: “The challenge of DocuXPert is how to convince our customers to our slogan ‘Less cost, sell more’. To make that slogan come into practice, DocuXPert has shown its customers how TransPromo communication can turn printing cost into income and profit.” The vision and marketing environment encourages DocuXPert to go to TransPromo. They know: To succeed in TransPromo, color know-how will be important.

The final decision was Océ

Head to head competing among two brands for a long period, finally the decision was Océ. Chanawat Sawaddichai: “Océ has been our current supplier for monochrome printing systems for some years. We have had a good relationship from the very beginning. We compared between several suppliers. Even though some other brand offered better financial conditions we choose Océ because we trust Océ in terms of equipment, supplies and service support teams.”

As a digital print provider with a fleet of B&W and color printing systems, DocuXPert took the decision to invest in an Océ JetStream 1000 system. “It’s a big jump for us to invest in a high-value system. We initially considered the Océ JetStream 2200 but the cost and capacity are too high. But with Océ JetSteam 1000 there was an entry level. We made a decision to go for it. However, for our investors this is a big risk, too.” Now DocuXPert can go faster into color printing whilst there is no internal conflict of interest.

Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President, Océ Production Printing, says: “The Océ JetStream 1000 combines everything that is required in one powerful, digital machine with the smallest footprint in its class. With printing speeds of 75 meters per minute – or 1,010 A4 ipm – this is a sleek machine that can adapt readily to changing industry and customer requirements.”

DocuXPert now is stepping into its 10th year. In 2011, TransPromo and cross media communication has started as planned. All paper-based mail will be printed on the Océ JetStream 1000, and electronic forms of services like email, SMS, website and cross media communication will be introduced.
