Océ boosts JetStream family productivity

Higher speed of Océ JetStream 1400 and 3000 printing systems accelerate transition to digital production

Venlo, The Netherlands, 7 June 2011 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management and delivery, today announced the new Océ JetStream® 1400 and Océ JetStream 3000 digital full-color inkjet printing systems, enlarging the highly successful Océ JetStream product portfolio. With the addition of the two products, the Océ JetStream family extends the company’s leadership in the digital full-color inkjet segment and helps a wider range of print providers make the transition from offset to high-speed digital printing.

Extension of successful Océ JetStream product portfolio

Since its introduction in 2008, the Océ JetStream family has been a successful offering for customers, enabling them to grow their business into volumes previously unimaginable for digital full color. The availability of even higher-speed systems permits customers to complete more jobs within tighter production windows, providing additional capacities to grow their print volume.

The Océ JetStream 1400 is the high-speed model in this product’s compact series and offers full-width duplex printing capability in a single cabinet with printing speed of 100 meters (328 feet) per minute for the production of 1,350 A4 (1,428 letter) images per minute. The compact design is the ideal solution for print providers with limited floor space and offers full-color two-up duplex productivity in the smallest footprint.

The Océ JetStream 3000 is the new top model in the product’s dual series, with a printing speed of 200 meters (656 feet) per minute, which translates to 2,700 A4 (2,856 letter) images per minute. All Océ JetStream printers offer 1,200 dpi perceived image quality based on 600 x 600 dpi resolution with a 2-bit multilevel option, independent of production speed.

Based on field-proven key technologies

“With the new Océ JetStream 1400 and 3000 printing systems, Océ extends its superior continuous feed inkjet portfolio with higher speeds at consistent quality. The new systems perfectly complement the Océ continuous feed portfolio and confirm our strong commitment to the Océ JetStream family concept. The advancements provide additional solutions to perfectly suit the specific requirements of a greater variety of customer and application demands,” notes Sebastian Landesberger, Executive Vice President, Océ Production Printing.

All members of the Océ JetStream family, including the new high-speed JetStream 1400 and 3000 systems, are based on core technologies such as the field-proven Océ DigiDot® inkjet and the Océ SRA MP controller architecture. The Océ JetStream 1400 and 3000 use next-generation piezo-electric drop-on-demand inkjet printheads that allow increased speeds with a consistent print quality. Users also benefit from the reliability, print quality and media range associated with the Océ JetStream family.
